About Us

“What if students had a way of asking for school help for free,” is what GuruTech creator and founder Mike Vesleno asked himself four years ago on his drive home from teaching an engineering course at a Southern California university. Mike, a professor, long-time tutor and engineer, believes that students should have access to free education and, thus, Mike created the HW Solutions mobile app.

“The socioeconomic gaps across students always stood out to me, and I have to do something about it,” Vesleno said as he prototyped several versions of HW Solutions. Slowly, the app became more than a community where learners come together; it is a token of opportunity for those who want to come closer to the American Dream. GuruTech’s mission is to empower students from all backgrounds to lessen the burden of lacking resources and make their dreams a reality.
